Madame Tussauds
Since Madame Tussauds first opened its doors in 1884, hundreds of celebrities have enjoyed the honour of a having a wax figure created in their name.
In 2017, Weston Design Studio had the honour of designing the Madame Tussauds London guidebook... Famous Fun!

THE
IDEA
Overview
As well as creating a world famous tourist attraction, Marie Tussauds pioneered the use of printed guides for exhibitions. The first edition of the Madame Tussauds Guidebook was printed in 1819.
The Idea
In homage to the incredible history of Madame Tussauds we designed two guidebooks that would sit back to back. The front, bringing Famous Fun to life though a multi-sensory experience, where you can star alongside famous people at the centre of the most iconic moments... the reverse a walk through the dark, grim and sometimes shocking history of Madame Tussauds!
The 'Big' Idea
"The show must be both entertaining and instructive, past and present should be combined, so should the great and the humble, and above all, they must always produce an atmosphere of glamour."
Marie Tussauds, London c.1835
